Take your family on a magical miniature adventure in the enchanted Audley End woods. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Essex countryside, just outside of Saffron Walden, the Audley End Miniature Railway is a family fun day out in the great outdoors, surrounded by nature.
Your family can enjoy a miniature train ride through ancient woodlands, explore the enchanting fairy and elf walk, spotting all the tiny fairies and elves who live amongst the trees, let off some steam on the adventure playground or venture over to the nature corner!

Woodland Adventure Days & Loyalty Card
We are now open every day during the week from the 19th April to the 2nd October for our Woodland Adventure Days*. Perfect for an off-peak, great value visit with your toddler or baby!
Visit us on one of our Woodland Adventure Days and you will receive one of our Loyalty Cards. You can then use this card every time you visit. If you visit us 3 times you will get your 4th visit for FREE!

VISIT THE EASTER BUNNY IN HIS ENCHANTED WOODLAND HOME
Hop on our miniature train this Easter with your family and ride deep into the enchanted Audley End woods to visit our very own Easter bunny in Wonderland.
Along the route through the magical woods, you can use our I Spy sheet to spot little
bunnies and spring chicks, heavily laden nests with an abundance of colourful eggs - perhaps
you’ll even spot a flying carrot plane.
The train stops in wonderland where the children will meet our full-sized Alice and the
Easter Bunny while his furry friends give each child a special gift.
The next stop is our Enchanted Fairy and Elf walk where families can wander through
pathways to spot our winged friends in their bespoke handmade homes, each adorned with
springtime animals, carrots and eggs – all to be ticked off from the activity booklet. You may
even encounter a full-sized fairy who can assist with an easter craft or two.
The Easter entertainment continues in the picnic field, where children can let off steam in
the adventure play area, and also visit our Mad Hatter story telling session on the stage
area.
Once children have completed their activity booklets, they can head over to the gift shop to
collect their special sticker.
Eggsellent food and drink will be available at the Woodland Cafe all day long with some
seasonal treats on offer.

A really magical place with staff who can’t do enough for you! I was worried my older children wouldn’t have enough to do but they absolutely loved it!

Firstly the checking in was very easy, when the train arrived they explained the procedure. They then cleaned the train so was definitely taking Covid seriously. The train ride was lovely and there was some nice touches of Easter displays around the tracks. We then pulled into an area to watch a show with the Easter bunnies. We loved the interaction with the children. After the train we went through the forest to all the displays there. The children had a booklet to interact with too. The play area was amazing, Stanley loved this. There was lots of seating areas and whilst we didn’t eat there I did see the food and it look very appealing and reasonably priced. Overall we had a great day out.
