Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens

Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens

Open today from 1000 until 0300

We’re pretty lucky to have Cotswold Wildlife Park within a 30min drive from us. It’s a large wildlife park that is also dog friendly! It hosts a lovely scenic walk to see Rhinos on the lawn, Camels, Tigers & Giraffes to name just a few, of your lucky toy can get quite up close & personal with the giraffes. Within the outer grounds is another enclosed scenic walk including a huge pond with flamingos & numerous other water based birds, included in this walk is also the wolf enclosure (this walk is sadly not open to dogs but signs are quite clear to state this) Inside the main park is a small farm yard with pigs & ponies but the real highlight here is the goat paddock which visitors can enter & pet the goats, there is often quite a few & they are very friendly but also super cheeky, this paddock will be a hit with all the family. There is also a large play ground park with various pieces to suit all ages & the kids can have HOURS of fun here as there is so much to play on. Around the beautiful walled garden it hosts a lemur walk where they are loose with you & are quite the posers for the camera (Dogs, prams or wheelchairs are sadly not allowed into this area) There is also penguins to watch with scheduled feeding times & a huge array of Avery’s showing birds from all over the world along with a butterfly house & plenty of varieties of monkeys to! A few tips ~ During peak times Cotswold wildlife park gets very busy & this can mean some impressive ques in & around the roads leading into it as these roads are busy roads without the extra traffic for this attraction so keep that in mind. We have never been during the school holidays or on extreme glorious days but even when we have been the que for the 1 restaurant is massive! If you only want to purchase drinks or the pre made sandwiches on offer then push pass this que & once inside head straight to that area as the long que is always for cooked food & very often those wanting just a sandwich or drink que up not realising they don’t need to, if you do want hot food then I advise eating early or late. There is many lovely areas within the park to find a picnic spot so I do recommend taking your own food. The park also has a gift shop & numerous toilets plotted around which are both baby change or wheelchair friendly. A lovely day out highly recommended
