Closed right now, see opening hours

A great day out for all the family. Huge park, super fun slides, bouncy castle, picnic areas, dinosaur trail and children's maze. And for the adults a beautiful house to look around, with various exhibitions and wonderful gardens to take in. There is a cafe selling food at decant prices and a shop.

The dinosaur trails and gardens are open with good measures in place. The whole site is really well managed, with 1 household allowed in the toilets at one time (and touch points cleaned after each use), hand gel stations along the routes and a few additional staff members along the way to help direct. We felt really safe and enjoyed our first family day out in months. We have visited before and our 2 1/2 year old loved the dinosaurs as he did last time. There is also a new bug hotel and giant wooden chair to sit on. Back by the entrance there is an ice cream van, hog roast van and a table as a pop up shop (dinosaur themed small toys mostly). You can sit on the picnic tables there or picnic on the field around the car park. You can't picnic in the dinosaur trail or gardens. We were really pleased with the price too- £7 an adult and under 3s free. :-)

The dinosaur trail and access to the house gardens is open! You need to pre-book a ticket online and select either an am or pm session where you're able to play/picnic in the house gardens ahead of your slot and then access the dino trail when your session starts. Toilets and baby change are open allowing families to go in together where a cleaner is ready to clean straight away before letting the next family in. They have a pop-up gift shop outside where you can purchase dinosaur-themed gimmicks or grab an ice-cream from the onsite ice-cream man. Your ticket to the dinosaur trail. Plenty of sanitizing stations around people keeping their distance from one another.

This was a brilliant day out for the whole family - kids, parents and grandparents. The dinosaur trail was a real winner for the younger members of the party (10, 5 & 3.5). The maze was enjoyed by all and we found a lovely little picnic spot. The sandwiches from the cafe were decent but get there early as it got very busy later on. The kids could have stayed even longer at the adventure playground with the fort and bouncy castle being a big hit. Even our 16 month old who isn’t walking yet loved crawling around in the play area. The adults were all happy because the kids were and the flowers and grounds were very pretty.

We love this place, one of our favourites in the summer. It’s got great outdoor parks in wide open spaces, plenty of room to run around & definitely a fab spot for a picnic. They have Astro slides which are such good fun (for grown ups too) a small splash water area & an awesome zipwire & trim trail. Over at the house they beautiful surroundings perfect for a nice walk. The dinosaur part is a must to visit & explore the different dinosaurs & their facts. My children love it, such a great day out.

The grounds are brilliant place for the kids to just run about and really let off steam. The dinosaur trail is really fun; my eldest has never got bored of it. Fort Knebworth is a lovely outdoor play area. We really do love it here, especially if they have a special event on; our favourite is the food festival and the garden show.
