LEGO DISCOVERY CENTRE What a fab day out! We went on a final half term Wiki Trip yesterday to this brilliant place! In short it’s an indoor Lego playground with more Lego than you have ever seen (or could ever play with) in your entire life. There is also a Lazer Quest shooting ride, life size police station and construction Soft play areas, a Merlin themed ride that made the adults get a sweat on 🥵, 4D cinema (30 minute films), a build and test construction area - Little Wiki and Daddy made a motorbike! A DUPLO play zone with a slide, small cafe (a little pricey), massive pools of Lego everywhere... and MINIWORLD! Miniworld is a LEGO replica of Birmingham, with a LEGO version of my old University!!!! (I felt quite nostalgic!) And...there were interactive models of Aston Villa Park, Edgbaston, The Mailbox, The Bull Ring... ALL of it. It was quite amazing!! The whole place is very different to Legoland so don’t go expecting that but if you’re up for a brilliant indoor activity and LOVE LEGO then this is for you. It was really busy but that didn’t ruin it. There was enough for everyone and even the ride queues were not awful and were up and down in terms of wait time. We spent four hours there in total (at the centre, not in the queues 😂) which was enough to leave them wanting more but I think about right. Fab tip...If you get the toddler combo tickets - £21 for an adult and child 5yrs or under then you also get into Sealife as part of the ticket!!! (Must use within 90 days) AMAZING!!! This definitely gets the Wiki Mama Thumbs up!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

LDC Birmingham is such an exciting day out! There is so much to see and do and it’s all indoors so the weather can’t spoil your family fun. The Kingdom Quest ride is exciting for kids and adults alike with its laser zappers. The “Miniland” Lego city with intricate models of dome of Birmingham’s favourite attractions is a feast for the eyes, particularly when the lights are dimmed - it’s like a twinkly wonderland! We particularly loved being let loose in the creative workshop, building and testing out all kinds of Lego inventions. There’s also duplo for the younger kids as well as soft play and even a 4D cinema. There is easily enough to keep everyone entertained all day. Thoroughly recommended, one of our favourite days out.
