Loved our day at Stanwick Lakes today. Weather was amazing and the place was packed. Car park is quite expensive. £5.50 for 3 hours. Cafe is superb. Food lovely and reasonably priced. Play area for kids with sand, slides, climbing frames, water. Kids were in their element.

Spent the day at Stanwick lakes last summer before having my daughter (now 6 months). My 3yo loved the sand play / water and playpark it was in. Cafe served snack type food and although the indoor play wasn't very big my little boy loved it (we were told we didn't have to pay for it even though it was chargeable). Plenty of parking - a great day out. Take a picnic. Loads of grounds to have a bbq/picnic.

Such an amazing Mothers day today at @stanwicklakes . It's a beautiful location with lots of walks to choose, great for dog walking (although you can't let them off at all) with the most amazing adventure play ground! Something for every age including sand pits, slides and swings. Older children are in their element! See the video on insta stories for the full walk around. You can hire bikes for £11 including a children's trailer. £7 for an adult bike. We had a brilliant day and we didn't even make it inside the visitor centre which looks brilliant too with a veranda looking out across the water and outside seating! Loved it!

Outdoor pushchair friendly (flat!) walk with with large wooden play park including baby swings and sand play. Their short adventure walk includes play equipment dotted around every corner making walks more interesting for tiny legs. Inside there's a fantastic cafe and small softplay room from £1.50. Baby changing available in visitor centre. Read my full review here
