Today ‘Team Green’ ventured over to Winchester to go train crazy and we had a blast!
I knew that Ted (5.5) would enjoy himself but I underestimated just how involved he would get, he was completely in the zone...not even lifting his head when his little sister sauntered past with a bourbon! He spent the whole hour making his train as long as possible and enjoyed trying to manoeuvre it as far around the tracks as possible. Chloe has perfected the set up since she started in February 2018 and there is loads of space for everyone to do their thing without the track collapsing or there being arguments over certain engines - there is plenty of everything and it being a ticketed event means it doesn’t become overrun at any point.
I love that there were other activities too, Cora (3.5) isn’t as interested in train play but was totally entertained - there were two ride on toys, dressing up and drawing/colouring all of which along with the track kept her more than happy.
Everybody was so engaged that they had to be gently reminded at the end that the session was over, just as the next group of eager participants arrived.
Chloe is also a Mumboss champion and welcomes other local Mums to her sessions, engaging without being remotely imposing - it was lovely to see the working Mum’s network at large ❤️ We will definitely return to another.
